Clio Awards 60th Anniversary Campaign

01 — Project details

We created a unique digital experience for Clios’ 60th anniversary to celebrate its consistent role in advertising over the past 6 decades. The interactive painting took the audience on a trip through advertising’s greatest moments that have shaped our popular culture: from the Kool-Aid Man to The Bud Knight, the M&M’s, the Subservient Chicken and Spuds MacKenzie.

02 — Creative process

Leading the strategy while working with our external agency with BBDO Los Angeles, we honored some of the iconic men, women and ideas from the past 60 years that have defined this advertising era by canonizing them in a work of art as grand as their contributions to our industry. The result is a sprawling renaissance-style painting by Sam Spratt.

This campaign drove exceptional engagement across social media, sparking industry-wide conversation and significantly increasing award participation from agencies around the world. Additionally, it contributed to increased in-person attendance at the Clio Awards gala, culminating in a sold-out show. By blending nostalgia with innovation, we honored the creative legacy of the past while reinforcing Clio’s status as a champion of advertising’s future.
